Adam- Sites

Websites:

Good:

Anne Wilson: http://www.annewilsonartist.com/

really clean website and seems to follow the typical contemporary “artist” look. But also original setup, really accessible (all works are listed clearly, well written artist statement, nice layout)

Gil Yefman: http://www.gilyefman.com/index.php?/works/painting/
Really nice and clean, easy to navigate and explore. The only thing I’m not sure about is the amount of work on the site. I think its nice that he has exhibited a wide range of media, but I would not have included many of the drawings, paintings etc.

Bad:

Sarah Rahbar: http://www.sararahbar.com/
I really like her work but the site is really annoying. Its clean and it tries to be really nice, but everytime I go on it I’m disappointed by the fact that the sites page doesn’t really seem to fit the window, the quality of the images taken of the work doesn’t do it much justice, and I also feel like she doesn’t need so many representations of the same body of work (she’s beating a dead horse)

Really bad!:

Carrie Mae Weems: http://carriemaeweems.net/work.html
really unorganized and confusing. Too much discrepancy between pages and the amount of bodies of work on the site is overwhelming and unnecessary.

Elinor Carucci: http://www.elinorcarucci.com/closer.html
really great work but the site is distracting from it. Its really old fashioned and appears to have not been updated for a long time. It is not too hard to navigate but the site is too busy and I would not have shown a lot of the work she put on it. She also has tabs for “personal work” and Commercial Work” and I feel like she should have created separate sites for each-the commercial work is hardly as strong and takes away for her personal work.
