Project

For the semester I will continue to shoot haphazardly. My process so far has been spontaneous and unannounced and that will continue. That is not to say that the project (images presented) itself will be haphazard and contrived-the editing process will be extensive. The more that I attempt to isolate certain facets and leanings, the more I feel boxed in and limited. I am confident that through this total openness in image making I will be able to build relationships that simply did not exist prior to the groupings genesis. It is in these relationships where subtleties un thought of (completely unable of coming to fruition in any premeditated way), can interact with other subtleties and create new systems and new modes for understanding, thereby questioning the structure of the preexisting systems of understanding and conditioning. I am not interested in ideas and beliefs that I already hold. In fact I am further and further weary of my ideas and opinions. For they are fodder of the past. Static. I am interested in the potential for revelation in the moment. In self surrendering acts an immediate knowledge can come. But it is not a knowledge that can be kept.
